Serving up a new digital experience for Patisserie Florentin
BACKGROUND & PROBLEM
Patisserie Florentin is an artisan bakery known for its excellently crated French-inspired pastries, cakes, and bites. Despite its strong local reputation and loyal customer base, the Stockbridge institution was in need of a modern digital presence. Its previous website was outdated, lacked key information, wasn’t optimised for search, and didn’t reflect the elegance or quality of the brand. This limited its ability to attract new customers, showcase its offerings, or support online engagement.
CONTEXT AND KEY CHALLENGES
As a small business with a premium product, Patisserie Florentin needed a website that could:
Reflect the sophistication and craftsmanship of its brand
Showcase its menu and seasonal specials with high-quality visuals
Provide clear information on opening hours, location, and ordering
Be mobile-friendly and easy to update internally
Challenges included:
Little existing content for on page SEO.
Limited internal technical capacity with a need to work remotely
A need to balance visual appeal with functionality
GOALS & SUCCESS METRICS
The project aimed to:
Design and launch a visually engaging, user-friendly website
Create a digital experience that matched the in-store atmosphere
Improve discoverability through SEO and local search
Enable easy updates for menus, news, and seasonal offerings
Success was measured by:
Increased impressions in search, up 4.58k in the first 28 days of going live
Increase average search position, with the site now ranking at an average position of 1.4 for branded keywords
Increased website traffic and time spent on site and growth in customer enquiries
OUTCOMES
To minimise downtime during the website redesign, a holding page was implemented to provide essential information while development was underway. The new website was delivered on the same URL, built remotely, and published following final approval.

The site features mouthwatering photography, compelling brand storytelling, intuitive navigation, SEO-optimised pages, and a refined design.
Now serving as an engaging digital storefront for Patisserie Florentin, the website allows customers to easily browse the menu, get directions, and stay updated on all things Florentin.
